The Barefoot Soft Pommel Inserts can benefit wide horses whose shoulder angle lies clearly outside the extra wide template, broad shouldered horses, or on sensitive horses. You can exchange your standard fiberglass pommel insert for this soft pommel insert. This soft insert is a cotton pillow, like a stuffed toy, as it is filled with cotton wool and is flexible and soft. It fits into the area for the standard fiberglass pommel perfectly.
Easy to fit - open the zip fastener, exchange the inserts, close the zip fastener - finished!
For western style saddles: Love the look of a horn? Check out the Barefoot Saddle Horn (sold separately on this website) - it is a horn part with a Velcro fastener that wraps around the soft insert. This gives the soft pommel function/flexibility, without sacrificing the look of a horn.
